The construction of the Poznań plant for recovering energy from waste is the largest investment project in Poland being implemented through public-private partnership. The cooperation between partners in Poznań is being closely followed by local governments and companies interested in implementing public tasks using the PPP model.

The action "Plastic bag?! Thank you!" I don’t need one!" was a success. The residents of Poznań filled two 1100 - litre containers with plastic bags. In return, they received over 1700 cotton reusable bags.

A plastic bag is produced within five seconds, used for five minutes on average, and is decomposed for over 500 years. This Saturday, 26 September, the organisers of the action "Plastic bag? Thank you! I dom’t need one!" will encourage residents of Poznań to change their habits and use environmentally friendly reusable bags when doing shopping.

Renewable energy and modern waste management is one of the main topics of the beginning of the International Ecological Forum in Kołobrzeg. At the largest event of its kind in Poland, that brings together representatives of the government, local government, world of business and science around ecology, there will be also a presentation of Poznań and experience in the Energy from Waste Plant (EfW).
