In 2016 Poznań agglomeration will reduce land filling of waste significantly, due to Energy from Waste Plant (EfW) - commonly known as the incineration plant. We encourage you to download lessons on the development of Poznań waste management system.
We invite you to familiarise yourself with another eco-lesson of the campaign "Recover and Use" - "My garbage - my problem" and "Energy from Waste Plant". The materials are aimed at dissemination of good practices for dealing with waste and building environmental awareness among the youngest residents of our region.
The lesson "My garbage - my problem" is intended for lower secondary school students. The scenario includes original exercises, so that classes become a unique adventure. We will find out how much waste we produce and store every year and what consequences it carries. The material will help to increase students' awareness when selecting products in the shop, show benefits of proper segregation and help in dealing with problem waste.
Another suggestion is a lesson about "Energy from Waste Plant" dedicated to the youth studying in upper secondary schools. In simple terms, it explains operation of the waste management system in Poznań, whose important element is the emerging incineration plant. Materials are prepared in an interesting way, including puzzles that will be a nice break from typical classes.
We encourage you to familiarise yourself with eco-lessons and other materials that can be found on the campaign website www.odzyskajkorzystaj.pl in the "Education" tab.
