Work on the construction of the Poznań waste incineration plant is going ahead at full speed. Technology lines are being completed; this includes installation of boilers. They will enable the recovery of electricity and heat from waste reaching the plant.
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Development officially confirmed receipt of EU funding from the European Commission from the Cohesion Fund for the construction of a waste incinerator. Poznań will receive PLN 330 million for this purpose.
Why segregate waste? What should you do with an old wardrobe, broken washing machine or Styrofoam? How will the installation for recovering energy from waste operate? The answers to these and many other questions regarding waste management were provided at a special training session in the commune of Czerwonak.
